2008-03-19 | dancing with you

Good bye,my yellow hair.Although this kind of color is not very fashion presently, and I also know that black hair will make me more vigorous
and let my mum happy, because she thinks that color makes me more gentle and less volatile. But I am a such girl that I always look for
something exciting for myself, although it is difficult for other people to find out.

This afternoon,I came to a hairstyle room.My hair was changed into black within one hour.Lin,a Hongkong hair-dresser,who is residing in
Beijing for many years. She emphasized to me that it is not very good for my hair to change the colors too often, and she suggested that you'd rather make a protection on yourhair, and now yellow hair looks very natural than turn the color into black, for reason, my hair had no difference with straw.I didn't want to explain too much, and I just told her,"I will act the PLA".Lin said "Woo" at a low voice at once, and prepared hair-dryed cream. So effective, and so easy! Very soon,I saw the image of a kind-hearted girl in the mirror.En,my mum is very satisfied with my new image, and I can't help praising myself take the place of my mum.Suddenly,I missed my father and my mother~

2008-03-06 | 撒娃? 就是how are you ? (çava? mean How are you?) (french language)

The time passes very quickly. Many matters could be forgotten even quicker.  Now, every early morning when I open my eyes, the first thing I do, is to think: Where am I? Having recalled well the memory for yesterday, I finally realized my location on the earth. Rushing day after day exhausted me. Everyday, or every two days, I visit a city, or more precisely, a country. Therefore, can’t really know a place well. On the way, I played some French music. I asked some people there to teach me French. I was really eager to learn but I knew well that once I return to China, I would forget them all.

(Photo)

It’s rare to see an independent building in Amsterdam. Particularly a hundred- year- construction. It is said that because the ground is kind of soft and moist, buildings are thus closely built in order to depend on each other.

(Photo)

She is nicer than I imaged. The square was full of people from different countries. It seems that it is a integrated society.
I have never seen the instrument that the music player on the left played. But once you closed your eyes, the beautiful but sad, mysterious music would bring you to an unknown place, perhaps the hometown of the players.
I surrendered all my money and gave them a smile of appreciation, in the hope of giving some kind of warmth to them. Later, I met two guys who dressed as devil. One was holding a sickle and the other a chain. They greeted me passionately and would like to take a photo with me. I thought for a moment: I couldn’t take advantage of someone. Therefore, I told them I didn’t have "no money" and they just left.

This tourist is me

(Photos)

Sigh…It is now 7am in Beijing and midnight in Swiss. How come I become a night-drifter (“night cat” who are just active at night) wherever I go? This is not good. I hope you guys will not take this as model. Sleep earlier to keep a healthy life. I go and take a rest. See you!

2008-03-10 | 回来了 (I am back)

It is so nice being back even the air is so friendly.  The bright sunshine makes people comfortable.  I am so happy to tell my companies that French weather is more comfortable than Germany one.  Recently, I experience wanderings finally even Munich I also visit.  A refined bag is filled with sausage and mustard source from the airport.  Every day, I am out early but come back lately.  I do not have much time to rest.  However, I take many pictures.  I want to share them with others.  My energy is also inspired.  I visit many places more than others imagine and many interesting matters happened to me.  It is a pity that if I could not look at my album, I would not remember many things.

(Photo)

This is near White Church in the Paris.  There are all painters who paint for travelers.  It is amazing that there is a gallery selling the works and manuscripts of Dali and Picasso.  I am interested without concerning prices.  I appreciate them in details.  I come to a conclusion that the best works are in the museum.  So, I suggest that everybody has to visit museum when going abroad because the aesthetic fortune of people is also yours.

(Photo)

I am satisfied with that church because of its high status and the weather is fine at that day.

(Photos)

Do you see that colorful house?  It is a coffee shop where Picasso visited frequently.  It is a pity that I am in the car because it is one-way traffic street so I miss it.  My platitude in France is “would you want some coffee?” Coffee shops in France are more than trees!  I am a lazy person who tired of walking so when I am tired, we go to coffee shops for rest.  Sixty percent of people will order tea or water and they will criticize that it is awful without providing water.  What a pity is.  The better taste is in the second time of boiling tea.  Therefore, the good impression of Paris is reduced.

2008-03-28 | 净化生活 (Cleanse my life)

I had fondue, such a guilty pleasure. Nutritional, but fattening. That’s another grand harvest from my trip to Switzerland. Someone as curious as I am would not let go of such a harmless opportunity to try something new. So I decided to imitate that experience into my own kitchen. A couple of days ago, I wanted to have a vegetarian day to clear my system, so I came up with the idea of making fondue. It’s actually relatively easy, just dip the bread into the small pot with hot melted cheese. Crispy bread meets the hot and soft cheese, wow, it’s so like a commercial. But of course, you have to choose the right kind of cheese. I remember the first time we walked into the fondue restaurant while we were overseas, all of us looked at each other with that look on our faces. The smell was so unpleasant.

(Photo)

I would choose a few days in a month to eat vegetarian food, just to clear my system. I don’t really like to eat little animals anymore, because I really like them. There was once when someone invited me to visit a place with very nice scenery. We went on a boat and saw monkeys on the little island and swans playing in the water. I was quite excited. At lunch time, the meal was as sumptuous as a feast. At the end of the meal, they even introduced a dish of swan meat for me to try. My expression probably displayed a look of such horror that the host quickly added that the swans were raised in a farm. I didn’t try of course. Swans raised in a farm are still swans. I’m not going to introduce new animals into my stomach. There are so many variety in terms of food nowadays to the point where coming meal time, we have to decide which restaurant, what kind of dishes, and cuisines from which country to have. It really is not necessary to try more wild animals.

The longest record I have on ‘cleansing my system’ is 3 weeks, it was a very good experience. But that was the time when I was on holiday and had no jobs. The first day of filming Red Cliff and I had to go back on a meat diet. Due to the huge amount of action scenes under the hot sun, I was so hungry in the evening, I had no choice but to have meat during dinner. At that time, doing well in Red Cliff was my top priority. Lately, there were some people making a nuisance over a poster deliberately taken with a camera with strong flash. That is really not a gentlemen’s behavior. I despise these irrelevant by-standers making such irresponsible remarks on this huge film production with all our efforts in it.

(Photo)

I’ve read your messages. I think you guys have a point. I want to learn from you people, for our lives to be healthier, to get into the good habit of sleeping and waking up early. So I’ll try my best not to post anything in the middle of the night to disrupt your rest. Miss you guys...

(Please excuse my translation, the original version is very witty)

2008-03-23 | 在北京的某一天

Early in the morning, a call from an old friend waken me up. That time I was in the midst of an exciting yet vulgar dream and when I woke up, it was a confusing switch from dream to reality. After some time, I had chosen the correct path. I realised I had an appointment with the friend to visit ‘Gao Bei’ shop in the Beijing district to catch a glimpse of Chang Lei’s art room, the artist who encouraged me to get a professor degree, hehe. On the expressway, I listened to Li Jian’s ‘Feng Chui Mai Lang’, wound down the window to allow the breeze to enter, not a tinge of coldness, instead, the scent of nature was there. It was merely the work of the rare and precious rain 2 days before that helped to purify the air in Beijing.

(Photos - please go to her blog)

The spacious art room made me very envious, it’s so lofty. Many of my friends advertently turn their high class condominiums into rough lines yet with the artistic feel. A fine white wall was re-built into a half concrete wall. As for the floor board, either they spread mud on it, or they covered it with ancient wooden floor board to bring out a city-free aura. But the 9m high wall supporting a gargantuan glass ceiling is hard to replicate. Of course, the second storey is a not-to-miss attic.
It is very clean here, and this made me recollect 2 to 3 years ago when I borrowed a cramped and messy art room to film ‘Shakespeare’ music video. As everyone knows, a script is not needed for music video and I can only put my imagination into full play in the small room - turn over boxes and drawers, jump around, throw ice cubes, re-activate a fan covered with spider webs, lastly, I even spilled tea onto an human oil portrait. After a long period of time, I was afraid my friends would haunt me for compensation, that’s why I have yet to meet them.
Mr Chang has the aura which I admire a lot. Anyone could never make out this low-profile and gentlemen-like man clad in non-fanciful clothing and tote a document bag, is actually a great artist. If not observant enough, one will even think he does engineering.  He made me recall a killer, Leon (the passionate killer who doesn’t resemble a killer). He must be someone who is conscious of cleanliness as this is the cleanest room I have ever come across. I remembered when I was studying in the academy, my class in-charge is an art teacher, he has high expectations on anything to do with art, arranged the most classes – portrait drawing, water painting, national painting, and even calligraphy. Even though I did not promote the art which my teacher passed down to me, my passion and interest for drawing has never died down.
Just when I was about to leave Ah Mu Si Te Dan that morning, I rushed to Fan Gao art gallery to satisfy my craving which is to search for the ‘Room’ original art piece and draft sketch. The glass cabinet at the entrance printed Fan Gao’s signature chrysanthemum drawing. If you have the chance, take a look at ‘Fan Gao Hua Zhuan’, Fan Gao is also a gifted poet, the narration for his productions are in-depth and unique.
In a short while, I have to leave for Beijing to film a show, and recently I have been forking out some time to patronise art exhibitions, meanwhile enabling me to interact with everyone.

2008-04-29 | 春暖花开   (spring blooms)

Recently the weather's scenery has been beautiful~
These couple of days I've been very happy. Why? As I have graduallyfamiliarise myself with the new dramatic team, new workingpartnerships, as well as a new rhythm of life. Every time when I' ammatched with a new partner, there would often be two differentversions performed. By adjusting an arduous filming outcome, adirector and audience version will be performed. The first version isa laugher version. The other version is created from a more serioustone, which creates an outcome that makes one self easily affectedwith laughter. But off course there are also consequences with theacts of laughter during a performance. What is most fearful is wheneveryone awaits with a serious tone, to wait for you to finishlaughing. And you smile back with difficult automatic control.Miserable!

In order to work well, I have gradually started to sleep and restearly. But off course after work I would often have a night snack, andthen quickly proceed to the usual routines of miscellaneous maters.123, time has passed, and all miscellaneous matters have been done, but it has already passed, my ideal sleeping time. Also because I'vebeen so busy with finishing off the miscellaneous matters, I must thanwaste half an hour of peaceful silent thinking before being able tofall asleep. And the next day I've already become a biological alarmclock, and will wake up punctually before putting on make up. Is thiswhat they call occupational disease?

However today is an exceptional morning, sitting in the make up room, and getting ready to start filming, a notice was than sent outnotifying us that filming will not start until evening. Knowing that,I decided to rush home for lunch. Often others will take 3 main housesbefore they can enter their homes, I have at least taken 30 gatesbefore I could enter into my home. (Note Chinese saying: just meansthe busy times have made it hard to visit home). But fortunately, dadand mum, have always been understanding, which is good. 5 minuteslater I have already sat myself at the dinner table. Dad's alcoholintake is very bad, but he believes that during a happy time, weshould all drink a zip of wine to add to the fun. And each time hesees me he will pour a little glass of red wine. The 3 of us sitsilently, the sunlight shines outside the window, the trees shadowsprojects in the house, and in the background the custom to have theCCTV news channel is heard. There are occasional pauses with thetransmits of sound, this particular environment is all too familiar, and I' am moved. I treasure very much, treasures very much. I must go to the scene to rehearse a play. Wish everyone 5.1 Joyful!(Note 5.1 May 1st is a public holiday in China)
